West Dayton's trusted source for therapy and counseling with African American children, youth and families impacted by trauma.

When your child is hurting, the whole family feels it.

Maybe the meltdowns are getting worse. Maybe school keeps calling. Maybe your child has pulled away from you, from friends, from the things they used to love and nothing you've tried is working. You've read the books. You've tried the consequences. You've sat in weekly therapy appointments that never seem to add up to real change.

You may feel like you're failing...you're not. And your child isn't "bad." What you're seeing is often the echo of something deeper, early hurt, loss, instability, or experiences that left a mark the child doesn't yet have words for.

Kindred Connections Therapy Center was built for this moment.

We're a community-based practice of highly skilled social workers and counselors serving Trotwood, Jefferson Township, and West Dayton. Our clinical culture is rooted in Dr. Joy DeGruy's Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome framework, which means we understand how trauma lives in the body, the family, and the community, not just in the individual child.

We would love for you to schedule a consultation and tell us what you're having difficulty with.
